In July 2020, I answered a call out on Instagram for artists to paint a free portrait for NHS heroes and I was inundated with responses. Unfortunately I only had a few spare days so I could only do portraits for the first 2 who responded:
This is Janet Davies, a midwife who retired on 3rd July from Singleton Hospital Maternity Unit, after giving 40 years to the mums of Swansea, this was requested by a colleague of hers as a retirement gift.
I used the most vibrant colours possible to continue with the rainbow theme in support of the NHS.
This is Clair Miller, she is a dietitian working on the acute wards at Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen.
I then got another request several weeks later from an NHS keyworker who still had not been matched with an artist:
This is Kim Davies, an ambulance technician based in Dalkeith, Scotland.
Then in May 2021, I had another request by an NHS keyworker who had been matched with another artist, but had never received her portrait:
This is Lynne Deuchaurs, Staff Nurse, Out Patient’s Department, St John’s Hospital, Livingston, Scotland.

In September 2021 I was asked to do another by Lyn Gunn, a colleague of Lynne Deuchaurs.
This is Lyn Gunn, Staff Nurse in Plastics and Orthopaedics at St. John’s Hospital, Livingston, Scotland.

August 2022, Trish Wood, CSW Clinical Support Worker at St John’s Hospital, Livingston, Scotland
